Well-spiced and warming, this chai is good for Vata and Kapha. Pittas can use less ginger to make it less heating. Tulsi is a sweet and spicy basil that’s great for relieving stress and calming the mind.

You will need:

1 tulsi tea bag or 1 tbsp loose tulsi leaves
1 2-inch piece of fresh ginger, chopped
2 tsp cumin seeds
2 tsp coriander seeds
2 tsp fennel seed
2 cardamom pods

Assemble all of your spices. Open the cardamom pods and remove the seeds.
Bring six cups of water to a boil. Add all of the ingredients and reduce the heat to low. Let simmer for 12-18 minutes.

Strain, add honey and milk of your choice, and enjoy!
