My advice holds true for any organ, but especially so for a happy, healthy heart:
Every day, give a compliment to a stranger– at the checkout line, at the bank, even that guy who cut you off! It is a small gesture with huge consequences for your heart. Observational studies have shown that when a person holds on to anger, or any other negative emotion, the coronary arteries thicken, and therefore there is increased risk of developing heart disease.
So, unless you want to use screaming as your “escape valve”, why not cushion your anger by being nice to someone else instead?
